San Juan Capistrano, CA - February 16th, 2004 - EarthLCD, a wholly owned subsidiary of Earth Computer Technologies, Inc. and a leading manufacturer of LCD displays, touch screen monitors, and controller cards, launches the new ezLCD-001-EDK Evaluation Kit, a new 2.7" 240x160 small form factor TFT Color LCD Display that comes mounted as a complete assembly with a perfectly matched built-in Earth LCD controller card mounted onto an Evaluation Board for easy interfacing to the LCD controller through integrated USB and serial connectivity. At a retail price of $199 Earth's ezLCD-001-EDK Evaluation Kit meets the needs of OEMs, industrial manufacturers, and hobbyists that require small or large quantities of a low cost color LCD in very small form factor that has low power consumption and is easy to connect. Earth is simultaneously launching the ezLCD-001 Display Module, which excluding the Evaluation Board and with it's lower price, is aimed at OEMs looking for volume discounts at larger quantities.
